Obituary of Gary Graham

Funeral services for Gary D. Graham, age 70, of Yantis will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Lake Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Stephenson and Rev. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery with Tommy Peugh, Dickie Nelson, Carl Galligher, Dale Owens, David Stribling, Bobby Ogle and Mike Carnes serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Gary passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Heritage Nursing Home in Quitman. Gary was born on September 16, 1945 in Tucumcari, NM, the son of Warren Graham and Ivon McGee Graham. He married Marcille Bevill on August 6, 1965 in Sulphur Springs. She survives. Gary was a master electrician and he worked for Amoco Production for 27 years. After retirement, he continued to work and consult for various companies across the United States. He loved hot rods and spent many a day under the hood with his beloved nephews and friends. He was a preacher, a gospel singer, and songwriter. He could play many instruments all self-taught, however the bass guitar was his favorite. He was a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his son, Delane Graham and wife Sarah of Yantis, daughter, Shelly Ogle and husband Scott of Yantis, sisters, Barbara Wright and husband Jim of Wynnewood, OK, Pat Beams and husband Gayle of Longview, Torcia Buchanan and husband Leon of Edmond, OK, Sharron Brooks and husband Lyndell of Lamesa and Karon Graham of Enid, OK, grandchildren, Colby Ogle, Mandi Garhatt, Jordan Davis, Ty Davis, Bryce Ogle, Will Graham and Jack Graham, great-grandchildren Riley Ogle, Colson Ogle, Sienna Garhatt and one baby expected in January, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Stacy Walker and grandchild, Casey Ogle. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
